We are pleased to announce the Second Annual South Florida Tequila Festival. Our inaugural festival was a hit. Over 54 expressions of tequila and 19 brands this was the premier tequila event of South Florida.

In 2010, Florida Day of the Dead Celebration was founded, and presented their first event for just 750 attendees. By 2012, in only it’s 3rd year, the Florida Day of the Dead Celebration had bypassed venue capacity with over 6000 participants!

In 2013, Florida Day of the Dead Celebration relocated their main venue to Riverwalk-Fort Lauderdale and the Revolution Live Entertainment Complex.  After the success of hosting over 9000 participants, event producers and their partners at 3J Hospitality have even bigger plans this year: expanding venues and programming, and, most importantly, turning the event into a TWO DAY CELEBRATION – November 1st and 2nd, 2014.

One of the largest new additions of this partnership is this year’s 1st Annual SOUTH FLORIDA TEQUILA FESTIVAL! 3J Hospitality and Bar Stache are responsible for some of hottest parties and events in South Florida.  Florida Day of the Dead Celebration develops signature cultural events for the region.  This proud partnership will develop an experience like none other, that explores the cultural significance of Tequila, with just the right dash of fun.

The South Florida Tequila Festival, the only event of its kind in the eastern United States, aims to educate the community of South Florida about the history and importance of the spirit. We will highlight more than 15 separate brands of Tequila as well as the culture, arts, and traditions of the Mexican peninsula.

If you’re flying into the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood Airport, you’re less than 15 minutes from the Florida Day of the Dead Celebration and the South Florida Tequila Festival.

• Take US 1 North to Broward Blvd
• Head West bound on Broward Blvd., We’re located less than 1 Mile from US1.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE MIAMI INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

We estimate about 30 minutes from the heart of Miami and/or the Miami Airport.

• Take FL-112 E, then take the 195 S Exit towards Downtown.
• Keep left at the fork; take I-95 N and merge onto 1-95 Express. Merge onto I-95 N.
• Take Exit 27 towards FL-842/Broward Blvd/Downtown
• Head East bound on Broward Blvd, We’re located less than 2 Miles from I-95

• Take I-95 S (via the ramp to Miami)

DIRECTIONS FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WESTERN PART OF FLORIDA

• Take I-75 S
• Continue onto I-595E
• Take Exit 10A toward I-95N/Ft. Lauderdale
• Merge onto I-95 N
• Take Exit 27 towards FL-842/Broward Blvd/Downtown
• Head East bound on Broward Blvd, we’re located less than 2 Miles from I-95

AIRPORT SHUTTLE OPTIONS & OTHER TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS:

Sun Trolley — This service provides FREE shuttle service between the Fort Lauderdale airport and downtown Fort Lauderdale, but only operates on Saturdays and Sundays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. The final departure from downtown to the airport leaves at 4:30. The shuttle will drop you on Himmarshee Street (SW 2nd Street) downtown within walking distance to the festival. http://www.SunTrolley.com

Check out the Super Shuttle to get cheap, quick, reliable access from the Miami or Fort Lauderdale airport to downtown Fort Lauderdale. (SUPER SHUTTLE DOES NOT PICK UP AT FLL) http://www.supershuttle.com

There is also a commuter train for those who fly into Miami, known as the Tri-Rail Commuter Train Service. Typically you can get round trip service on the train for as little as $10 and under. http://www.tri-rail.com. Check out the Broward County Transit for Metro bus options, maps and schedules http://www.broward.org/BCT. We are located directly across the street from the central terminal.

As always, taxis are available at both the Fort Lauderdale and Miami Airport — they just might not be the most cost effective option!

There will be plenty of parking options for those driving to the festival, but we do encourage carpooling to save money, gas and, obviously, the environment! Also, there are taxis and other public transportation options like the Sun Trolley in the downtown area if you’re trying to avoid driving/parking

The City of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County parking garages house over 2,200 parking spaces and are within walking distance to the Revolution Live Entertainment Complex. There are also plenty of private parking lots and garages within walking distance.
